Cowgate sweepstake - win a prize!

On May 15, 100 concrete cows are going to be released onto the streets of Edinburgh. As public art goes this is a reasonably amusing, if not very imaginative stunt.

Of more interest...I am starting a sweepstake on how long it is until some ned/student tries to knick one. There will a prize of a, very reasonably priced why don't you buy one, Caledonia Calling mug for whoever is closest. Add your guess (in hours) to the comments.

37.5 hrs before a spot of coo-tippin'

By then the journos and photographers will have got bored of this big pile dung and retired to the pub - the coast will be well and truly clear!

I am hoping for a smear of witty graffiti – these blank canvases scream for an appearance from Banksy….

1) They'll be too heavy for a bunch of meffy students.

2.) Yes, a polytechnic Banksy imitator will probably stencil a crappy BK on the side of it.

3.)I say none of the cows'll get rustled. They'll get pished on, have chip juice smeared on them etc. though

Yoshimitsu WINS (the mug)

I seem to remember that they displayed some around London previously and one was stolen then...so Scottish human nature being what it is I reckon that Ed's coos stand no chance!

Heihachi wins!
