Shite in any language

The number of Gaelic speakers in Scotland has fallen by over 7000 so that less than 2% of the population can speak it.

Education minister Peter Peacock said: "This survey is good news for Gaelic showing that the language is gaining support throughout Scotland."

I'm sorry, but someone needs to sack this fucking muppet.

Of course following on from the story below it's no surprise at all to hear that a government Bill to create a Gaelic quango, enforce all public bodies in Scotland to draw up a "Gaelic plan" and hire more Gaelic teachers recieved
unanimous support from MSPs.

I frequently talk shite - where's my public grant?

Just noticed that the BBC want to put your taxes (sorry license fee) up ahead of inflation.

Guess what sort of shite you are paying for:

Yer erse (boom boom). Speaking as one of the 2%, its about bloody time.

This is a language that until as recently as the 1970s could be heard as far south as Arran and as far insland as Blair Atholl. Where there are still Gaelic speaking clusters around Inverness.

Yet its also a language that's only been taught in the schools in any meaningful way since the late 1980s. No wonder the number of us speaking it has dropped.
